Keyboarding practice is fun when you know some easy typing tricks.

Typing practice skills really take off once you have enough practice typing!

Once you know the alphabetical 26 keys, you can increase your speed with this keyboarding practice tip from my sister, a graphics artist professional! Simply type this following phrase, on something like Notepad, as often and as fast as you can. Review, review, review!

Need practice typing skills from the very beginning? We've got four children who have used Mavis Beacon which has a program that starts with finger placement and adds practice typing skills of each of the new keys as typing improves. After using a typing program, the best offline typing practice trick in our experience is to repeat the phrase, "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog."

This computer program has keyboarding practice from several perspectives even using games to encourage accuracy and speed. Some don't like the new feature that some of the games can't be skipped and they tense up that they're being timed, but they have all learned to use the keyboard with a minimum of parent/teacher effort. Of course, this is the feature that I like best :-)
