Welcome to A-Z Worksheets Reading Pen reviews! We’d like to recommend the ReadingPen as a great reading help to those who have difficulty with reading comprehension when a long word is new. It says the word out loud! How cool is that?

Think of history class and science class. How many historical, geographical, or scientific names are hard to read much less pronounce? It can be great reading help for homework, too!

Comparing the differences in the features of the Reading Pen for kids Basic Edition K-12 and the Reading Pen Advanced Edition we would like to recommend the Advanced Edition since for the same money you get so many extra vocabulary words! We find that one of the best reading activities is, of course, to read. After that is it good to have the student copy his work in a logical manner and say the phonics sounds of any difficult words out loud to improve his reading and writing skills. Writing the material, or copying it, ensures that your student has reviewed it and can then read it better.

If a student reviews a passage several times in several ways he can more easily comprehend its meaning. Reading comprehension can be improved by reading on one’s own in a quiet place and reading only difficult phrases out loud as needed for comprehension. We believe that once a student has worked through several complicated books well, that he is able then to read anything after that. After a student can read at a third or fourth grade level the main difference in books between the elementary grades is the length of the book. High school books are longer, have fewer pictures, and cover more complicated material which is when having a the ReadingPen really comes in handy! Choose books that meet your students’ reading ability and general ability to sit through a long study.

Teaching phonics lessons to young students is much easier when there is an example of the words before the student with the correct spelling on free phonics worksheets.
